SRC is always Texas , LIN is Nebraska. Also when you input the receipt number in USCIS case status website it tells you which center this application is with.
I understand that. What I wanted to know was what number you have? SRC or LIN? And also to confirm, if it was cashed by TSC? and not the case that it was cashed by NSC and then scheduled to be transfer to TSC?
As you had said "I think it got transferred to TSC". You mean it really got? or you think?

I don't know why what (s)he has done to India or U.S or any other place should be any of our business? What has that got to do with his/her depression about not receiving GC? Why is that as soon as someone poses a simple question, people tend to get on the moral high-horse? BTW, the poster never said (s)he is going back yet.
2: just don't lose hope. Your day in the sun will come. I am kinda in the similar situation as you are too (came in 1999, PD of 2002, was in the labor backlog for 5 years...). Just keep your chin up. As someone else said, you are getting closer to your GC.

Tricky question? Only USCIS can answer. May be part of FAQ3..;)
On July 25th lawyer sent my documents 140 & 485 concurrent, PD port from previous I-140 approval (approved at Nebraska).
Reached Nebraska Service Centre on July 26th.
Will it be processed at Nebraska Service centre or Texas Service centre? According to new direct filing instructions my employer and my residence comes under Texas Service centre.

The only thing we could do guys , is to get a lot of media attention , make the whole world know about our problems....
If we dont get the GC yearly number increased for India , we should plan to go back,..
How long can i wait to file 485..I am pretty much sure( i wish i am proven wrong) that the Lawsuits are not gonna help us.
They did nothing wrong legally , its a tradition that DOS doesnt change the visa bulletin in a month..ITS NOT A LAW.
The max we could get from a lawsuit is damages(financials) , and as USCIS is a fees funded organisatiom , its gonna come back to us
In one way we should be happy that the USCIS is cleaning its internal backlog,
Please go back .Why wait for the change in law .No one is stopping you . Dont discourage

EAD Receipt # is different from i485 Receipt #. What i know though is that i485 receipting is a pre-requisite of EAD receipting.

IV could not even collect 20K in the Washington DC drive. I hardly saw EB3 folks contributing. If every EB3 person contributes 50USD, it will be enough to run a campaign. Action is the key, not posting in forums.
Pl don't make blanket statements such as this. BTW, I contributed to DC advocacy and many other EB3s also did the same.
Fixing the language so that folks do not take it personally.

Nothing at all about my US GC ... ( i just filed 485 about a year ago - this was about 3 months before that)

Why did you come here instead of home country ... i came here to do the landing, and thought i'll do the visa stamping as well + Regular employer/ job /education questions ...come back tomorrow to collect the passport

Using spouse's name is a great idea ...
If i say i'm joining Masters Program then also they wont give the Letter
- they dont want to lose the FAT billing rate out of me.
I suggest that you should request him and convince him that you are not going to quit and make up some story like your spouse wants EAD to work and you are joining masters program etc.

Yes, I am here for around 12 years with no GC and I won't mind if someone interviews me to cover my story, also will submit my story in 'tell your story' thread.Today, I have signed myself in Ohio chapter to meet like-minded souls...
I have some problem on surfing & responding back because our "Big Brother" wathces who is surfing for how much time and also he/administrator did blocked Yahoo/Hotmail & all mail related to website..thats usual story for "Consultant Contractors"...
pls submit your story in 'tell your story' thread if you are interested in being interviewd. we need many compelling stories for media all the time.

Any more light on this aspect?

When i initially got RFE, i didn't know at that time that there were already few H1-B's denied from my company. I believe last year when CSC started processing H1-B's they issued RFE's to lot of companies. Most of them got through even though they had few issues but unfortunately my ex-employer got caught and they have denied majority of extensions and new petitions with the reasons i have mentioned before. Till that time, i didn't had much knowledge about the process. I thought i was safe coz my W-2's were almost double the amount that stated on the labor and i was employed, i have provided all the client details, PO and everything. Inspite of that, my extension was denied. Coming to your questions, i have moved out of the company after 6 months of my 485 filing. I haven't filed any H1-B, No AC21(just change of attorney) and i also have an another 140 pending with my new employer and i don't think that 140 is going to work coz there are lot of complexities. Talk to your employer about this. Are you the only person in this situation or anyone else with you in your company. Are there any other petitions that are recently being approved or denied? He is the right person who can tell you about your petition. If you think your employer is not that good by sticking with all the rules,you still have time to move to another company. Even if your petition gets denied, if you want to maintain H1-B status, you can still do that, but there is little bit of extra money involved to get back on to it.

My 485 application was filed with NSC on June 4th, 2007. I know it is too early to expect receipt notice.
Who will receive the original approval notice?. Attorney or me?. Who will receive the FP notice?.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.
Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?

He has always maintained his legal status and was unfortunate to restart his greencard process several times due to job changes. He did not have a green card at that time and his PD was not very old.
