Dont know how far it is true, but I always look at that website. And usually they update the happenings quickly. And most of the time it is correct too.
And in my office, they applied for three of us and one has got the RNs. But we haven't. Attorney says that she has got RNs for her clients who applied in August. And asked me to wait, as nothing else can be done at this point.

I think you have already decided to send flowers to make more impact change the message from "Get well soon" which I don't think anybody is going to get, send something "You have screwed my life, I hope you have a good day".

7% quota based on national origin is based on law but it is clearly a biased and outdated law. It is beyond my comprehension why should we scared of initiating a litigation against the US government when it is clearly involved in blatant discrimination. The HSMP rules were challenged successfully by Indian high skilled workers in UK, why can't we do the same over here? I pledge to donate USD 200 for a lawsuit if such an action is initiated.

We need to do three things to ensure that we succeed in this effort
1) Be serious about this action item, not only should we be sending out this email, but also encouraging all others- Including your colleagues, friends, family- GC Holders, Citizens to send this email to their lawmakers. Numbers matter.
2) We should follow up and make appointments Next week (It is a short week) or on Monday 29th November. When we go to this appointment, just focus on the message of this action alert. Do not be tempted to talk about any other issue, Do not take a lot of time and do not present any personal issue. Just talk about this one issue.
3) Please consider getting on a recurring contribution for IV. We need the funds. There are a lot of things that can be achieved if we had a big budget.

Thank you for your letter regarding the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act of 2009 (S. 729). As always, I value your input on this and other issues, and strive to keep you updated on the important issues facing us today.
On March 26, 2009, the DREAM Act was introduced by Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL). This bill would authorize the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to cancel the removal of, and give conditional permanent resident status to, an alien who entered the U.S. prior to his or her 16th birthday and has lived in the U.S. for a period of 5 years. Such a resident must also meet other requirements, such as be judged to be of good moral character, not inadmissible or deportable under the Immigration and Nationality Act, be admitted to a higher education institution or have completed high school or the equivalent, never been under a final order of deportation, and be under 35 years of age at the time of this Act�s enactment.
Furthermore, the DREAM Act sets parameters for conditional permanent resident status, and the process by which one transitions from conditional to permanent residency status. Under S. 729, an undocumented alien would also be authorized to petition the Secretary for conditional permanent residency if that individual has satisfied all of the above requirements prior to the enactment of the Act. Currently, S. 729 is before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary where it awaits further consideration. While I am not a member of this committee, I will certainly monitor the progress of this bill.
As you may know, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced on September 14, 2010, that he would offer the DREAM Act as an amendment to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 Defense Authorization bill (S. 3454) as well as not allow a fair and open debate on the bill. I was disappointed that he chose to play politics with necessary support for our troops and national defense by trying to tack on the DREAM Act, which is unrelated to the daily operations of the Department of Defense. I remain committed to reforming our legal immigration system and streamlining the legal process; however, I have consistently opposed proposals that extend taxpayer benefits to those here illegally or give incentives for illegal immigration. On September 21, 2010, the Senate voted 56 to 43, where 60 affirmative votes were needed, not to move forward with debate on the Defense Authorization bill. I joined colleagues from both sides of the aisle to oppose this vote.

Just wanted to let u know that when I called NSC IO today, she was kind enough to give my 485 Recpt # and asked me to wait a couple of weeks to get them in mail. She told me they(both my wife and mine) were just entered into the system.
Also I asked her abt my wife's pkg, she said it also got cashed, but my wife has to call to get her Recpt#.
frontlog refers to the folks who have filed between July2nd -July 16th.

This is very true. People may want to come forward and complain about employes but is there clear guidence on what will be status of employee if employer withdraw her/his h1b ?
Employer can not retaliate against employee just because he/she exercised his/her legal rights as an employee.

Infact, if one has reported against Employer against no pay on bench, even USCIS considers the employee in status as his/her out-of-status was out of his/her control and he/she taken action available to him/her.
I undertsand, laws are very complex and one needs to be like a Chanakya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanakya) to get even with big players.

The dream act supporters list the senators that are on the fence, and urge them to call and I think we need to start call the main players like Reid, Schumer, Menendez to get them behind our provisions. Per the 2005 Aytes memo (http://www.peludcarson.com/2007/01/aytes_memo_on_a.html) it is clearly stated that person can change jobs after 180 days irrespective of whether I-140 is approved or not. The key phrase is that I-140 should've been "approvable when filed".
So what? I-140 was "approvable" but now employer revokes it and therefore 485 denial becuase 180 days have not been passed. And that is why one never should even try to use AC21 before 180 days period. Even I-140 is already approved, revocation of it will initiate 485 denial.

I tried doing that. Convinced the employer to file a new labor for a new position, advertized again, filed a new labor under PERM, applied for a new I-140 and waited for a year for approval ... now the I-140 has been denied for A2P and is under appeal; I must confess that I have lost hope that it'll get re-opened and approved.
So all my efforts for getting a EB2 140 have failed.....what do you recommend, I start this entire process again. Even if I'm willing to bear the cost, the employer will not file yet another labor.
EB3 wait is my only way out now......

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.
