I have a feeling that the restrictionists may seek to attach HR 6283 along with the SKIL Bill to any appropriations bill...the restrionists have long been trying to cut family immigration (which they call chain migration)..what do you think?
NUmbers USA are asking members to send this fax to their representative...

Until the late 1950s, America's immigration tradition of family unity had only included spouses and minor children. Since then, however, immigrants also have been allowed to sponsor send for their siblings, parents and adult children for legal admission into this country.
Because each of those can then bring in their own adult relatives and nuclear family, a single immigrant can eventually be responsible for the arrival in the United States of his/her aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, first cousins, second cousins once-removed, in a spiraling chain that eventually could reach most of the world's six billion-plus residents.
Our immigration policy, particularly as it pertains to “chain migration,” is out of control. Please put an end to it by supporting H.R. 6283.
Anti Immigrants will keep doing what they are doing and they have been doing it for long.
They have to give strong argument in favour of their claims.
Somebody can't just say we don't like the color of their skins so we do not want them here.

Today, I received the approval notice in mail. However I did not get the physical cards. The notice says that I may have to do the biometrics again to get the but need not take any action at this time.
Did you receive the physical cards by now?

How can an EB dependent file in Family category ?
For any one (dependent ) to qualify for filing GC, they have to qualify under one of the categories either family or EB.
Family category:
Applicant has to have a relation with a GC holder or a citizen. When primary EB applicant itself is in AOS status ( not GC) how can a spouse file in Family category ?
2 conditions need to be met for spouse to apply
1. Primary should be having his greencard.
2. PD should be current for the spouse in family category.
Typically condition 1 won't be met for an EB dependent spouse, so USCIS process them under EB category.

This reply shows that because no visa is available they cannot accept the applications. If courts find any mistake Judge may order to correct the procedure. It is tough for courts to order USCIS to accept I485 when Visa number is not available. In case court dismisses the lawsuit then DOS and USCIS will make those happenings in July as a precedence. It needs to be seen how the drama unfolds

Guys,
I am in the process of applying for EAD renewal. I have few questions:
On the I-765 form,
Q.11 if applied for EAD before , complete below.
But there is nothing below other than your signature and date. It does not ask you of previous EAD information. What does "complete below" means?
Q.16 The Eligibility here would (c) (9) for I-485 applications correct?
Where do I mail this application . My AOS is pending at TSC.

I called on friday. Had to explain the lady that as per press-release, my receipt number should be issued. After 20 minutes of discussions, she escalated my call to another officer. She checked the database with my name, DOB and A# but she could not find any thing related to I-485.

The applications recrived at TEXAS on 1st JUN started receiving recepit notices. One of my friends checks got cleared today. :confused: As per my analysys nebraska had a 6 day lag till Jan 1st. Lets see.
