Hi Guys,
I came to know that if there is a significant increase in the new salary compared to old labor salary, the chances of getting a query is more.
Let us assume that if you old labor salary is X and if you want to take up a new job with X + 30% or more the chances for USCIS query is more.
If the salary increases between the jobs is 10% there should not be any issue.
Of course, these words are not from an attorney, i talked to a senior guy who is in this profession.
Before you are planning to use AC 21, please consult with attroney first and they only accept the new job.

The plan that mirage is talking about is to contact only the lawmakers who are already well versed with immigration.
Now; senators/congressmen who don't have much knowledge and you present to them why the country quota, etc., should be changed; will be given evidence through their research of what is going on with h-1b, labors in fast procesing states, etc., In this environment where there is sentiment against immigration it will fall on deaf ears and maybe even skew things in the future for you with the politicians because they are getting insight into this stuff at the wrong time.

Please do a thorough research on how effective rallies are based on our situation. We do not have much political support - no government support, no public support - and not the least of sympathy though we contribute so much.

My friend, there is a LOT of difference between the words "rant" and "idea". It is very difficult to confuse between the two:

That's the reason I said if we at least get 1000 members then we can ask core members and get their help. members should seriously think if they can make it before they saying yes.. I think even Friday option works as member can take long weekend and spend weekend in DC. We will also get to know all IV members.

I recommend a Monday to a Friday. Most of the media/office folks will take friday off as well like you and me. Media will be fresh on monday and people will get good E fares to fly out into DC on Saturday and fly out on Monday night/Tuesday early morning (if at all some one comes out of town). Also forget the 1000 number. We can have a good impact if we have 300+ members and families. When you put a poll out there, have 2 options for sure
a) I will come to DC on any day at any cost to attend this rally.
b) I want to come but I dont know how it will work out, when the day comes.

When I joined Company X (prior employer) I paid for H1b transfer fee and h1b renewal fee(total $3200 + $3000).
They agreed to sponsor my green card(just to give required paperwork) and they asked me to pay GC cost, So far I have paid $1500 for labor +$1700 advertisement + $1700 for I-140 + $3750 just now to file I-485 for me and for my spouse as dates were current to my lawyer . I have labor and I-140 approved from Company X.
I was compromising my personal life by staying away from my family and company X didn't find any client near to my home. I decided to stay at home hoping Company X will find some client near to my home. I was on a bench(no salary for a month).When I asked for a "employment letter "to file I-485 Comapny X said they can't give because they are
not paying me , I said I will resign and then you give me "future employement letter". I resiged Company X( i found company Y near to my home), in 10 days they cancelled my H1b visa without informing me, gladly I found Company Y and H1b transfer took place before they could cancel my H1b. Company X is reluctant even today to give future emplyement
letter.They are ready to do corp-to-corp, for that I have to pay them H1b tranfer cost of $3200(as my prior h1b got cancelled by company X) . I don't beleive its worth going back to them , but at the same time never wanted to lose $8650 green card cost. To join Company Y again I paid h1b transfer fee and , company Y expects me to pay Green card cost again. I am on 7th year extension. going back to india is a personal decision, and each case differs. circumstances are key in this decision process. one or more members' past experience in india will not apply...
for the people who decided to go, if you want to share your decision, please do and may be post on your experience once you have reached and settled in india.

I received the receipt number today from my attorney
My application was received in Nebraska on 19th June, filed concurrently, with I 140 pending in Texas since 5/16
My I 140 was approved on 27th July.
My receipt numbers are as below, so it was moved from Nebraska to Texas

I-765- SRC-07-230-xxxx

You are in this society for 35 years, so I'm not sure what's your objective of being on this forum...Anyway about your observation on Visa spill over, what you are saying is 180 different tha what other lawyers are saying, they are saying until 2007 DOS was reading the law differently so India was getting the spillover Visas, now they have started reading it differently hence India is not getting more than 7% Visas now, it is very obvious, from EB-3 India being in Oct-2001 for last 2 years, and EB-2 haven't seen any substantial movement either....Also you seems to be straying from the original intent of the thread...Very well written. I can tell you through my observations of living in this society for 35 years:

Congratulations. Mine was also delivered on the same date, 7/27. Did you get the receipts or your Attorney? Is your case EB2?
