Folks, it is time for the H1B community to grow up. Business is business. I am not a blood sucking deshi firm, or a silent partner. On the contrary, I happen to be a trained mediator, published author on conflict management and professional in strategy/organizations. My view is pretty simple: mathematical 'tit for tat' doesnt take you far. Build, nourish and manage relationships. Money and math are secondary. Its time to grow up.

My attorney sent me an email yesterday that my application along with some others applications were filed and they will reach USCIS on July 2nd. They did not send me the tracking number as they are busy working on other cases. I am glad that they filed it and I am happy that thier priorities are right(apply as many as they can ASAP). So, I think my application will reach there sometime today.

Based on the same language English that you have studied, and I have studied, the term 'That' refers to Eb-3's PD. One cannot just throwaway all the merit earned on Eb-3. Which precisely what you are asking one to do.
Porting is a right justice served. Of course, not everybody are eligible for that.
You are entitled to your opinion on this matter and so am I. Nobody is asking you to throw away all the merit earned in eb3 you get to keep your priority dates in the eb3 category. That way if eb3 ever becomes current you still get your green card.
The other point that I am trying to make is that the core keeps complaining about how the IV members do not help in advocacy and in any grass root efforts, I am not sure about the other eb2 applicants but I think I can safely say that for most of them, the IV agenda items are geared towards helping the entire EB legal immigrant community but when it comes to porting the entire IV community (including the core) condones anyone who supports porting and lashes out at anyone who doesnt which just makes me believe that this is more like an IV - EB3 rather than just IV.

I wish/hope there was a typo in the bulletin and Mumbai consulate got it right....Cut Off Dates- Consulate General of the United States Mumbai, India (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html)..But it seems they might have copied the date from China column of the visa bulletin...

All who are still waiting for FP, a suggestion based on my personal experience. If you are calling TSC, then it will not make any difference as you will not receive FP notice even after calling and waiting for months. I would suggest take Infopass and get the FP scheduled. For NSC, sometimes if you get nice IO they may schedule you right away and tell you the date of FP on the phone itself. This info is all based on my past experiences of reading various threads and calling TSC. So I am not sure what the trend is right now.

I was told by IO at info pass that my case was with an officer on Aug 05 , got CPO on 25

I did get LUDs today. Both mine and my husbands I-485 and I-131. But nothing on I-765. Anyone has any idea why they took FP when my I-140 and EAD still pending?

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and our prayers are with you and your family.
But as suggested by IV members, please do consider a visit to india and take second opinion from the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, its one of the best cancer treament centre in the world.
US Healthcare system is for Profit, some medical facilities in US are exception, but if you see the overall Healthcare system it sucks and its all driven by insurance and big Pharmaceutical companies.
Please send me the private e-mail if you need any help in Mumbai to reach good doctor in Tata Memorial Hospital.
Thank you all for your help and support but I have made peace with my fate. I have pancreas cancer with VERY poor pragnosis and trust me I took 5 different opinions with the some of the best hospitals in US and Europe.
Regarding my family, something is working out in Sweden and probably all of us will move there permanently in 1-2 months. We have some relatives living there.
Thanks again for all you help. You guys really made us feel we are not alone.

Thanks sledge for your support.. That's exactly what I meant. One should at least have a job before applying for H1. I am in totally favor of H4 visa holders to be able to work. There are so many highly educated and talented people out there who are stuck at home or school because of H4 work permit law.
I wish good luck to all H4 visa holders and other people who are stuck in this immigration system.

He never claimed his wife was better than the OP. All he is saying is that his wife HAD a job, which is the minimum requirement to apply for an H-1B. He never said that converting from H4 to H1 is illegal!

Thanks gc28262 for your contributions to this drive. I request others to pitch in as well. We can discuss the nitty-gritties till we bleed. But that won't achieve anything. It will not stop the minformation being spread. We have to collect enough evidence and present it to the media. 4-5 job ads is just the beginning, we need a collection of few hundred to prove this is the prevalent trend.
