However, when I asked if I have any liability for others fault, the ploice said NO. Everybody abides by law for himself.

Hello Everyone,
My checks were cashed yesterday. My application reached NSC on July 14. My I-140 was also approved from NSC.
I got the receipt numbers from the back of the checks, however when I entered them on the USCIS website, it said that the numbers were invalid. Any idea if I need to wait another day or so before the system will accept them?

FYI sent wife's application on August 11th .. reached NSC on 14th .. checks got chshed yesterday. Online status says application was picked on Sep 25th.
My application was sent on 2nd July reached July 3rd and have received recepit noice earlier.

But since you raised the subject, PPP GDP is adjusted to accomodate for different inflation and consumption rates in different countries. Without the PPT adjustment, India's GDP is equal to Mexico's, even though India has 11 times the population of Mexico. The reason India comes in 4th with the PPP adjustment in the world is because the ruppee is undervalued and Indians have a purchasing power that is 4 times smaller than Mexicans. So, to humor you and use your method of calculation, the Per Capita GDP (PPP) Of India is $3,344 in 2006 and Mexico's is $12,886. "Where are all the Mexican doctores, computer scientists, economists and professors?" you ask. The answer is: They are IN MEXICO making huge salaries, when the Indian ones have to come here because their salaries in India don't give them enough money to eat. Why aren't all the construction workers and lawn workers in the U.S. Indian? Because they cannot affor the airfare. The Mexicans just walk accross the border. Any you know what? All those Indian Professors at Harvard etc are teaching class to all those rich Mexican kids. Get your facts straight before you confront me and make fun of my MBA (which I got in the U.S. incidentally, not Mexico, but if I had wanted I could have gotten a top 20 MBA back home). I just recated to people's racist attacks here. So now, if you have anything to contribute to our IV common cause, welcome! I have only seen just one or two cases so far with receipts I mean filed on Jul 2. I myself am a Jul 2 filer NSC filer with TSC approved 140 and haven't gotten anything yet....I also had the LUd on 7/28/07.

Its easy to point at IV core for direction, but where is everyone when IV core gives a direction? There was a thread poll for another rally, but how many members came forward? How many IV members made an effort to convince others to vote on that poll so that IV core can plan for a rally?
If IV members do not come forward for contributions and action items then IV core has to make do with limited funds and use them thriftily. That only means lesser results for us.
It was the lobbying that got the bills introduced, so the least that we can do is contribute towards the lobbying expense. Its not going to work if everyone says that they will contribute when a bill comes on the floor.
I guess the reason most of the people are not contributing is because they do not see any strategy going forward. I am sure IV core is working hard on the issues but there is lack of clarity as an organization.When the bulletins come out and dates dont move forward significantly, people start with various ideas ranging from flower campaign to eliminating country cap to EB3 - EB2 portability to ....( Most of them die by the middle of the month).If we look at the past, contribution campaigns have been successful ( up to reasonable extent) when there is a favorable bill on the floor and people see some hope. I remember till last year there was a guy ( I think Chandu13 ) who tried to motivate people for contribution by calling them coward, lazy.....Believe me it never worked...
So I think it is time to get serious and have some synergy and that might motivate people to come forward, participate and contribute.

If there are sufficient numbers in a particular category to satisfy all reported documentarily qualified demand, the category is considered “Current.”
For example, if the Employment Third preference monthly target is 5,000 and there are only 3,000 applicants, the category is considered “Current”.
Whenever the total of documentarily qualified applicants in a category exceeds the supply of numbers available for allotment for the particular month, the category is considered to be “oversubscribed” and a visa availability cut-off date is established. The cut-off date is the priority date of the first documentarily qualified applicant who could not be accommodated for a visa number.
For example, if the Employment Third preference monthly target is 5,000 and there are 15,000 applicants, a cut-off date would be established so that only 5,000 numbers would be used, and the cut-off date would be the priority date of the 5,001st applicant.
The Department shall limit the number of immigrant visas that may be issued and the number of AOS that may be granted to aliens subject to these numerical limitations to a number:

How were the above laws followed in the following cases (which may not be a complete list)
Oct 1 2005 & Oct 1 2006 when .27 * 140K = 37,800 #s available but ALL AOSs were not submittable.
May 14 (??) when 60K #s were available but many more AOSs were submittable and were submitted from June 1-30.
June 12 when < 37,800 #s were available but ALL AOSs were submittable.
July 2 when 0 #s were available and ANY AOS was not submittable.
Months in 2005, 2006 and 2007 when ALL AOSs were not submittable.

Not to exceed 27 percent of the world-wide total made available under INA 203 (a), (b) and (c) in any of the first three quarters of any fiscal year; and
Not to exceed, in any month of a fiscal year, 10% of the world-wide total made available under INA 203 (a), (b) and (c) plus any balance remaining from authorizations for preceding months in the same fiscal year.
How were the above laws followed in the following cases (which may not be a complete list)
Oct 1 2005 & Oct 1 2006 when .27 * 140K = 37,800 #s available but ALL AOSs were not submittable.
May 14 (??) when 60K #s were available but many more AOSs were submittable and were submitted from June 1-30.
June 12 when < 37,800 #s were available but ALL AOSs were submittable.
July 2 when 0 #s were available and ANY AOS was not submittable.
Months in 2005, 2006 and 2007 when ALL AOSs were not submittable.
Months in 2005 and 2006 when ANY AOS was not submittable.
10,296 GCs were returned on Sept 20 2006 but some (ALL??) AOSs were not submittable.

We worry about RP, EAD,AP etc. GC is not the end of the world. Is it worth worrying about the Plastic card.
