I am a 2 July 2007 filer. Many SR's and calls later no FP.But I applied for EAD and AP renewal last week.I got the FP notice in mail today.
So I think that the renewal may trigger a FP notice.

I'm glad that he re-edited his language in his previous post!
It sounds like IV should assign PD to people who join and accordingly allow them to comment.......just like USCIS allot GC based on PD.....:)

Delax and other EB2 wonderkids here:
Law is for people and not the otherway around. Law is not like edging on stone (even then the stone can be replaced with a new edging on it) it is like writing on a paper with a pencil that can be erased, altered, rewritten - if required.
Personal sufferings take priority over skills. Be it on political grounds or humantarian grounds. Else, illegal immigration would not have taken the center stage and pushed you smart kids to the floor.
There is no rule that says ALL spill overs would be given to higher category before flowing down to lower category. If that was the case, last 2007, not all categories would have become current - as if there were less than 60K applications pending from EB2 as of June 15th, they wanted to give some to EB3 as well. Nope. Law allowed them to distribute the spill over to ANY category they wish.
It is not insane to issue spill over to EB3 PDs under 2002 and EB2 PDs say 2004 or 2005. But it is insane to issue GC to EB2 PD 2006 (may be 2007 in september if enough VISAs are still pending by 15th of August) and ask EB3 2001 to wait until October. EB2 can have preference but that does not mean they take EVERYTHING.
And one more thing. It is not easy for everyone in EB3 to change over to EB2 even if they are legally eligible. I can give hundred reasons. Few simple reasons, people may not want to leave their current job as it may be an excellent job/organization/career. May not want to leave their current place due to family reasons. Simple, they do not want to go through another GC process after having waited for 7-5 years! Well these are 'human' reasons which you may not understand as (of late) you believe only in law - which in your opinion - what was that - an absolute entity!

Even if we have five people agree to file this class action lets do it .....
Once we have this law suit filled I'm sure will have the visiblity and whole band wagon will behind us.
1, Let choose an attorney who understands our pain wants to fight for our cause. if its Rajiv Khanna so be it.
2, Whatever the inital attorney consultion let split the consultation fee between five of us.
3, Once we have a stream lined class action in place will gather more people.

I absolutely agree what you said this will atleast help us to predict where we are with the processing ..If this whole thing is going to take 22 years tell us now..so we won't F****** throw away our life waiting for it.
Lets file a lawsuit to get the info in a manner we need:
1) breakdown of processing dates in a manner that co relates to visa bulletin.
i.e.: tell us how many petitions by per country are pending/processed and processing dates by country and category. Atleast USCIS is answerable to visa bulletin.
2) Visa usage by category reporting each month
(How many petitions were approved are pending by visa category and by country) (here I mean just I140 and I485). Adjust the numbers if there are denials.
This will atleast help everyone predict whats going to happen in recent months. This is public information so lets try and get it public every month.

As per web page on this link -Do allow all employees (including non-U.S. citizens) to provide any permissible documents to establish their identity or work authorization during the employment verification process.This will exclude applicants on H-1B visa status as they don't have work authorization to work for the new employer.
However, as I said before, Employer can not discriminate between GC holder, EAD, and OPT holder.

Got a CRIS Notification for EAD Card PRODUCTION dated Sept 2nd for my wife.
EAD receipt Dat: July 23rd
Card Production date: Sept 2nd
They say it will take 30days to get in the mail..
No idea whether it really takes 30 days or less so I can verify actual validity of the EAD card !
I don't know what worked..mailed TSC a letter to expediate.. Also emailed Local Senator and Congressman to expediate my spouse's EAD renewal.

got my receipts today.
Case Details:
i-485/EAD/AP sent on 7/25 and reached NSC on 7/26 for my self and my wife.
i-140 still pending at NSC.
Got the receipts for all 6 cases from lawyer today.
i-485 for me and my wife got transfered to TSC and pending.
Case status shows Received on 7/26 and EAD approved for me and my wife from TSC on 09/26.
AP pending in TSC.
Case Details:

Hi - I currently have my H1B(H4 for my wife) valid till Mar 2011 and EAD expires on 10/15/08.
Can I skip the renewal process for now and apply for EAD later?
My lawyer says it is OK to skip for now and apply for EAD/AP anytime as long as I-485 is pending.
Please advise.

Finally, EAD card ordered on principal application.... Spouse's was ordered and received 9/12. Finally, mine was PRODUCTION ORDERED this evening.... Any others in the same boat, don't panic... they are doing them in random order....
No word on FP or AP yet.. However, any address changers, make hte online change and they are very fast... I changed my address and the 2second business day I had two letters in the mail saying that the address has been updated on my and spouse's 765 applications.. couple of days later one more that 485 address was updated and after that nothing....
