My AP's receipt date at TSC was 6/30. It was approved on 7/13 and I have received APs from attorney last week. BTW, my EAD/APs were sent to NSC on 6/15 but only AP was forwrded to TSC and I got receipt date as 6/30 from TSC. So it took 4 weeks including forward time from NSC to TSC

Soilders returning from voilent conflicts have the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder( PTSD ) also called as Shell Shock . I coin this term "Pre Green card Stress disorder". or Pre Green Card SHock.
Dr Sanjay Gupta who seems be an immigrant himself has spent lots of hours researching "Shell shock " maybe we should send him this new term to research .
And last but not the least , Relax . Staying here is not the end of the world .We came here we tried very hard , if God forbid we fail . I personally do not mind one bit to go back to my motherland . Remember if US is teh present then India is the Past and India will be the future . Thats where all the action is now and will be in the future .
Sorry If my last paragraphs hurt the feelings of any die hard members . I was just expressing my way to reduce the tension and stress that is associated with the GC process .

Well, I am TOO depressed about the BEC performance. I know too many people are in same situation but I find myself "helpless" and at least i want to SCREAM......:mad:

Wait for a couple of more weeks-- It is on the way. Don't go by the dates USCIS posted. They apparently don't correctly reflect the actual.
i sent application for me and my wife on july 6th NSC my I 140 was applied in TSC . i am NJ resident. wife took info pass appointmnet as no check cashed, no notice receive. started worrying now. as NSC is updating even new applications no sure if my case was transferred to TSC or not . any body in same boat ? application was signed by R williams in NSC.

unfortunately more than 80% of backlog elemination is completed, so labor substitution even though it is removed from july 16 has already done its damage. scores of people have already done labor substitution.
Do you really believe there are 700K "unique" cases pending.
I think elimination of Labor Substitution would take out atleast half of 700 K pending labors..
Making the total new cases definitely managable - "damn again I m thinking logically." :rolleyes:

I could convince 3 of my colleagues who are READY RIGHT NOW to contribute $1000.00 each. I can do $500.00.
But they asked me just one question. What is the action plan that IV is collecting these monies from prospective immigrants who are already in pain due to this economy and all that. I did tell them about July 07, flower campaign, but they are not willing to listen. They said they did not contribute at that time due to some reasons, but they now want to contribute big way. They have a much bigger friend's circle than mine who are also doing good from top schools who may contribute too. They may also register in IV soon.
But their only question is "What is the action plan for FUTURE". Can you please help.
I am confused myself with the same question, no offense. Like me, they wouldnt wait and wait forever for things to happen. We Strongly believe in any action towards goals. Trust me, we need lots of money, but the way they responded made me feel uncomfortable.
I do have the same question. I dont see people come forward and contribute untill they see something or any clarity.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. I plan to take care of the Canada landing on the 4th of July. Will be in Canada for a week and spend some time with friends and family. Hopefully all goes smooth. I plan to re-enter on AP - will post my experience here.

I agree with move. I will participate. Please add EB1 also in the list. EB1 also should get the GC based on priority as the title of the thread says. Also remove the country quota. That will make it purely first come first serve basis. Everybody is treated equally irrespective of country or background.

Did you change your mailing address after you submitted your I-485?
Some time they correspond to your old mailing address even though you updated the address with USCIS.
Did you check with your Attorney? Is the correspondence address given is your mailing address or Lawyers? Some times Lawyers give their address for correspondence to USCIS.
These factors count where the approved mail goes to. I am sure you might have checked these before. If you over-looked these, then these may be the areas that you have to check on.

If that was all that easy, I am sure Pres. Fox would hire 3,000,000 telemarketers to call Senators from Mexico and put a request pro amnesty on daily basis. Somehow it is obvious that the person calling or supporting CIR typically have vested interests on that; I think when one detects that direct beneficiaries of amnesty - not an US person - are campaigning, lawmakers probably they tend to ignore that.
Sen. Specter is just going to have his ears full. I can imagine what angry US citizens could tell him on those hearings. If CIR passage depends on positive feedback from those hearings, it is going to be tough. I am sorry to tell you, but I have been talking to many Americans on this. Hearings will just bring the truth to the surface, and that means border enforcement, less immigration, illegal and illegal.
